Cinder -

Here is the Goodreads synopsis:
Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl.
Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.
My Thoughts:
**Any book review will most likely contain spoilers**
At the beginning of reading this book I wasn't sure if I was going to like the cyborg/android aspect of it, but as the story developed I began to enjoy this book and was unable to put it down. Meyer created a futuristic world that had me engrossed from the beginning. I really found this story line interesting even though there were moments of predictability, it did not take away from the story. It definitely was a different spin to the Cinderella story, and I only really saw a few details that linked the two. The supporting character Iko is one of my favorites I hope she comes back at some point.
You really sympathize with Cinder and the struggles she faces. Being a cyborg she is treated more like a possession than a person. Cinders adoptive family is truly horrendous besides Peony. I am glad the author gave Cinder one ally in that family. On a side note if Adri wanted my dang foot I'd make her take herself. No way would I have just given it to her.
